Gourley Summer Basketball camps are running from August 8th - September 1st at Tupper Secondary. There are several sessions, open to players entering grades 8 to 12 (not just at Tupper), each run by Senior Tupper Coach Jeff Gourley and alumni players.
The cost per week is $100. There are two sessions daily to choose from, running from 9:00 - 11:30 in the morning or 11:30 - 2:00 in the afternoon. Note: August 14th - 18th from 11:30 - 2:00 will be female-identified players only. Register via Eventbrite.
Coach Jeff Gourley is a dynamic speaker who brings his infectious love of the game to any group he works with. By using humor, pop culture references and plain language Gourley break’s down the game on numerous different levels which allows coaches to help their own players understand the fundamentals of the game.
As a player, Gourley was a two time all Canadian, winner of 7 Canadian regional and provincial championships, member of Canada’s National team, CIS championship and is a member of St. Mary’s University Hall of Fame.
His coaching resume at Tupper reads six city Championships, 8 East or AAA Division championships and nine appearances at the provincial Championships. He has been awarded every B.C. individual high school coaching award that there is for basketball including BC High School Coach of the year.
In addition to coaching at Tupper, Gourley was an assistant coach with Canada’s National team for 8 years and head coach with Basketball BC provincial teams for 5 years.
